The Blind will See

The Blind will See

John 8 & 9

John 8:12 Again Jesus Spoke t other, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows. Me will not walk in darkness , but will have the light of life. “

Inspired by the NavPress /Life Change Study on John

John 9:39 – Jesus said, “For judgement I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”

Isaiah predicted so many things about the Messiah. I am in awe of the accuracy and specificity of the prophesies that pointed to Jesus, specifically in Isaiah. Isaiah predicted that the Messiah would give sight to the blind.

Jesus did this kind of miracle more often than any other – literally giving sight to the blind as well as bringing sight to the spiritually blind.

He is the light, without the light how can we see. Think about that in practical life – without  any light, you are unable to see. When you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, your eyes are adjusted to the dark – but there is SOME light that enables you to see. There must always SOME light. With some light, our eyes adjust but we don’t see clearly – we see shapes dimly and movement. When light is shed, we see the actual truth.

Reality is that Jesus Sheds that actual truth on life and without him we can’t see anything clearly.

Something else we have been talking about in Church is that light will always overcome the darkness. There is no darkness that can ever overpower even the smallest light. A flame will be visible in an enourmousdark room. It’s a powerful reminder that the truth will always overpower the darkness.

He is the light – but we reflect the light to help others see.
